Congratulations, Mater Dei Academy and Mater Dei Education in heralding a new springtime in authentic Catholic education for Ireland. Fifty years ago my brother Pádraig and I compiled "Briathra na Gaeilge" for the Folens Company. Little did we think that fifty years later it would still be in print abd I am privileged to see our little textbook listed as one of your school texts. Perhaps some parents may still remember our "Féach, Foghlaim" series which has many resonances with what you are looking to achieve; a strong grammar foundation, a love of the language and a faith-filled education. I am very impressed with the superb Irish curriculum presented. Mo cheol sibh! I take this opportunity to salute the teaching staff, Board of Management and pupils. Gach rath is beannacht ar bhúr sár orbre. Faoi bhrat Mhuire sibh i gcónai.
Deaglán Ó Murchú Author: "Briathra na Gaeilge" and "Féach agus Foghlaim" seriesOur Family has been using Mater Dei Homeschool Education for the past two school years. As the main educator of our children, I do love this programme. It recognises Irish heritage with Irish History, Geography, Irish Language, Irish literature, and Poetry. Teaching through an Irish & Catholic education programme gives our children a strong sense of who they are and where they came from. The classical education model gives an excellent foundation for our children’s further education. The program allows for adjustments to suit ones family needs and our consultant is on hand to provide support and advice, when necessary.
Damien and Maryanne Homeschooling parents (Cavan)Mater Dei home schooling was a profoundly beneficial experience for our 11 year old son Cian. The emphasis both on excellence and the classical education was very gratifying, and we could not be happier with the quality of the education provided. As a secondary school English teacher myself, I could see how the English programme was addressing many of the comprehension and grammatical shortfalls that commonly occur in many students' standards of English. Highly recommended.
Ger and Caroline (Galway) Homeschooling parentsFor our homeschool journey going forward, I had decided that I wanted to enrol my now eight year old daughter Hollie in a thoroughly Catholic program that would still enable us to make learning fun and relaxed while also providing discipline and structure to support our busy schedule. Not only did I want a Catholic curriculum, I wanted one that reflected the love I have for my country – in a nutshell I wanted a classical Catholic curriculum focused on Christian heritage in Ireland. Mater Dei Education fits that bill for us 100%. I can now say, with absolute certainty, that enrolling Hollie in Mater Dei Education has been the best decision I have made to date with regard to her education. From the richness and quality of the educational content to the structure and support provided by our wonderful consultant Grace, they really are second to none. Every day, Hollie looks forward to getting her books out and reading, something that she used to dread prior to enrolling with Mater Dei. Thanks to Grace’s tips, guidance, and assistance, Hollie enjoys reading so much now that she has put books on her Christmas list! I cannot recommend Mater Dei Education highly enough. As a single part time working mother, Mater Dei Education offers everything I need in terms of structure, support, and guidance to streamline the homeschooling experience and make it stress and hassle free. We are so grateful for Mater Dei Education, and we can’t imagine life without it now!
Mary in Limerick Homeschooling mum of one daughterWe are homeschooling our younger son with the support of Mater Dei Education. We could not have made better decisions for our kids (our oldest child is in Mater Dei Academy). Support is based on the assessment followed by a personalised plan and program for each student together with the list of books. Consultations are detailed, continuous and informative. Lovely Grace is always accessible and of big help! I want to emphasise learning the Saints of all the world and Bible reading. Also, grammar is something that is being worked on a lot, separately from comprehension. All subjects are intertwined and linked to each other. I can say it is learning for life! We are not Irish but Mater Dei Education helps my child learn Irish thanks to the detailed Irish lesson plan, Irish recordings and Irish online classes.
Zeljko and Maja (Cork) Homeschooling parentsWe have such peace of mind since starting our home school journey. We know that our children are receiving a faith-filled, directed and classical education. We're grateful for the weekly work lists, which give us the structure we need. Mater Dei, ora pro nobis.
Conor and Sarah (Meath) Homeschooling parents of 4 childrenThe structure with the daily schedule is very beneficial. It so much easier than trying to do the homeschooling on your own.
Ger and Maura (Wexford) Homeschooling parents of 6 childrenAs soon as we discovered the great value and the potential that lies within educating our children at home, we started looking for a program that would fulfil our expectations as Catholic Parents and Educators. We needed a program that our family would enjoy. We were looking for academic excellence and a good structure that would resonate with our values based on the Catholic Faith. After having done our research and tried different solutions, we chose the Mater Dei Homeschool Program and are highly pleased with it. Not only does it allow us to work in an organized manner day by day offering a range of useful tools like the app and teacher consultations, but it also fosters the development of a sense of beauty and passion for the world as God’s astonishing creation which we appreciate a lot. We recommend the Mater Dei Homeschool Program to all families who are looking for superior educational opportunities for their children, a flexible yet well-structured timetable as well as a reinforcement of their children's faith.
Leonardo and Dominika (Laois) Homeschooling parents of 7 childrenWe have been delighted with Eirens first homeschool year. It took us a little while to adjust but it has suited him down to the ground as the year rolled on. In particular his reading has greatly improved and Louise's guidance was invaluable. We will be enrolling him in the coming weeks for another year with Mater Dei Homeschool.
